Market knowledge, overall technical developments and trends and customer and decision maker expectations provide the framework for specific development initiatives just as much as application-relevant standards and legislation. The knowledge of buildings and their future users inform access to specific product solutions, with which complex applications are also illustrated.
The customer, the building and WSS experience mark the starting point for good product ideas and designs. The interaction between employees in Sales, Product Management, Development and Design and the decision makers on the market determine the focal points of the comprehensive development activities of the company. Innovative product solutions for a sophisticated, reliable and durable fitting technology inform the expectations of the developers with regard to their own work results.

The design and development phase is the decisive factor for success on the market later on
In order to turn good ideas into successful products, a team comprising engineers and technical draughtsmen with a high level of specialist expertise works closely with the people in our prototype department. Computer-assisted designs (CAD) become tangible in the early phase of development with the use of a 3D printer.
A considerable part of the subsequent product costs is actually incurred during the design phase. Due to our efficient approach with design activities, we manage to keep the entire product development process as brief as possible and therefore produce products at competitive prices.
Testing laboratory and product safety
Our products are all promptly brought into shape in our in-house prototype department and in this way are tested for suitability and feasibility. Dimensionally accurate models for field testing and assembly, test models with the same functional characteristics as the later series components - in no time, prototypes are created in metal from the first design data.
We have three CNC turning and milling centres, two FANUC wire-eroding machines and two surface grinding machines for constructing the prototypes.
In addition to the prototypes, we design and engineer most of our precision tools ourselves.
The test area
The company has all the necessary test stands for testing compliance with DIN EN, RAL and QM. During design and production, all types of non-destructive and destructive property tests, endurance tests, salt spray mist tests and stress tests are carried out. Machinery and equipment including tried and tested robot technology, are designed for fast data acquisition.
Special test stands for large-scale window and façade elements contribute just as much to the early validation of building solutions and their optimisation in collaboration with the façade builders as to product acceptance in the sense of previously specified function and installation tests.
