WSS, which stands for Wilh. Schlechtendahl & Söhne GmbH & Co. KG, are people at the heart of the ‘Schlüsselregion’ industry association. At our facility in Heiligenhaus, we have a staff of about 300 across all sectors required along the value chain right up to the finished product. All under one roof in an area covering 20,000 m².

Thanks to our flat hierarchy, we are in a position to respond quickly to your requirements and wishes and adapt our processes. This also allows us to provide special solutions and small series.

Our fittings are distributed through direct sales nationally and internationally.
Our advice is based on the expertise of an experienced manufacturer and we design and supply complete cross-system solutions for doors, windows and façades.

Quality Management

Quality Management decides which methods are suitable for producing the required level of product quality and it also monitors compliance with the stipulated measures. AGQS Qualitäts- und Umweltmanagement GmbH confirms that WSS has introduced a Quality Management System (QMS) for the development, manufacture and sale of locks and fittings for steel, metal and glazing construction and is in compliance with the requirements. We meet the requirements of the standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

As our aim is to contribute to the development and improvement of the location Heiligenhaus, of our standard of quality and our fittings, we are an IHK (chamber of commerce) recognised training company for the occupations industrial clerk, tool mechanic specialising in stamping and forming technology, mechatronics technician for technical maintenance, technical product designer.

We’re not located just anywhere - we are right in the middle of the Schlüsselregion industry association and have been since our start up in 1906.
The Schlüsselregion Velbert/Heiligenhaus is the leading industry association for security technology. 15,000 people work here day to day to make homes and cars safer. More than 70 companies are involved in security and fittings technology in Velbert and Heiligenhaus, employing upwards of 7,000 people. Added to this are 8,000 jobs in the supplier industry, making this a leading location for innovative security technologies.
