Apprenticeship as a machine and plant operator (m/f/x)

Specialization in metal and plastics technology | Start: August 2025

As part of your two-year training as a machine and plant operator, you will learn how to set up production machines and systems, put them into operation, operate them and take care of maintenance. You will also prepare operating processes, check machine functions and commission new machines. You will also learn to monitor the entire (production) process and intervene in case of doubt.

This is what you can expect as part of your training:
  • You will learn about the structure and functions of large production machines.
  • You will learn how to set up, repair and commission machines and systems.
  • You will get to know different production processes.
  • You will learn to pay attention to the quality and functionality of the products and to ensure this.
  • At least intermediate school leaving certificate / secondary school leaving certificate
  • Good manual skills and interest in technology
  • Enjoy a practical activity or the pleasure of creating something with your own hands
